We are always experimenting with new and innovative approaches to winegrowing.  Most recently, we’ve been using front-mounted ‘berm sweepers’ to help in weed removal.  With our new sweepers, we are able to multi-function with all tractor applications throughout the year.

The more multi-functioning we do helps us reduce our carbon footprint by eliminating additional tractor passes in the vineyard.  In the past, each different vineyard practice required a single tractor pass, burning fuel and releasing CO2 down every row.  Now, we are proud to say that LangeTwins has countless pieces of multi-function vineyard equipment.

These new berm sweepers are just the latest addition to the three-row trimmers and multi-row crop protection machines that we’ve been using for years.

Wherever possible, we will continue to be innovative in our efforts to farm sustainably and reduce our impact on the land – the same generational land we have farmed for decades.
