Sacramento Cyclocross Race #4 Recap: Video

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

What an awesome day!

Last Sunday we hosted Sacramento Cyclocross Race #4 at our winery, and just as expected, it was a great day full of tough racing, multiple cups of coffee and wine tasting!

Rich Maile and his crew from Sacramento Cyclocross designed a killer course around the winery, including every feature imaginable.  Feedback from the racers was that it was a challenging course but one of the best venues of the year -- slow in some of the mud, and super fast down the bridge flyover.

For the spectators, the bridge provided a great perch to sip some wine and watch the athletes fight it out!

Check out the video I put together of the venue and race:

Start Times

Here are the race times for the upcoming Sacramento Cyclocross race at our winery – more detailed race information can be found over at SacramentoCX.com.

Kids’ Races

One of the most fun races of the day is the kids’ race where kids 10 years and under hop on their bikes and ride a modified course.  Children of all cycling backgrounds are welcome – just a few bucks to enter!

Cyclocross Bike Race: Coffees of Hawaii will be here!

Friday, December 11th, 2009

For those sleep-deprived racers (and spectators!) Coffees of Hawaii will be here brewing up their specialty coffees for our Sacramento Cyclocross Race, Sunday, December 20th.

The crew at Coffees of Hawaii have been fueling athletes for awhile now – check out the Floating Espresso Bar that they set up for the Kona Ironman World Championships:

CoH

And how did the swimmers find the espresso bar?  An underwater sign of course!

Our racers won’t have any problem finding the coffee bar at our race, nor will they have sharks on their minds…just a great day filled with fast racing, wine tasting and caffeine fixes!
