Our New Wine Shippers are 100% Green

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

We’ve been trying out some new wine shippers lately – have you noticed?  We like them because they fall right inline with our commitment to sustainability – they’re also easier to pack!

These wine shippers are 100% recycled, 100% recyclable, 100% biodegradable, and 100% compostable – how great is that?  It might be a small effort compared to our big projects like habitat restoration or installing photovoltaic solar panels, but every little bit counts.

Get the most out of your shipping costs

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Many of you have probably noticed this shipping rates chart when shopping at our online store.  If it seems confusing, I am here to help!

To clarify the rates a bit, I’ve put together some pointers on how to maximize your shipping dollars:

  1. Buy in even numbers!  Having 7 bottles shipped costs the same as 12 bottles.
  2. Buy at least 4 bottles (6 makes good sense too)  In some areas, like the west coast, the incremental cost between 2 bottles and 4 bottles is so little ($1.00) it makes the decision easy.
  3. In most cases, buying 12 bottles is the best deal for shipping costs – plus, you automatically receive 10% off your wine!
  4. Remember: you only pay the flat rate charge of $6.00 on any apparel or merchandise orders!

Shipping FAQ

How are the rates calculated?

Our rates are set by following a simple philosophy:  we aren’t aiming to profit on shipping costs.  We believe our efforts are better served in providing the highest quality LangeTwins wine to you.  Our shipping rates just help us recover some of the ever-escalating costs of sending wine across the country.

I need my wine fast.  Can you ship overnight?

Of course.  For most California and Nevada shipments, overnight shipping is included at no extra cost!  For all other states, please email us at orders@langetwins.com and we’ll work to get your wine to you ASAP.

I don’t see my state on your list.  What gives?

Direct-to-consumer wine shipping laws are changing by the day.  Archaic regulations held over from the Prohibition era and protectionist legislation are constantly throwing roadblocks between wine lovers and their favorite wineries.  We ship to as many states as we can and will add and subtract states from our list as the laws change.  Stay current on the complete list here.
