Born in Lodi, Randy is the co-founder of LangeTwins with his twin brother, Brad. Educated at University of Washington and Fresno State University, he managed vineyard operations and led in vineyard development opportunities. His current charge is leading LangeTwins winery operations.
Not one for sitting on the sidelines, Randy has long been active in local and state organizations focused on winegrape concerns and the promotion of the industry. He is an active leader in the California Association of Winegrape Growers and California Agricultural Leadership Program.
Away from work, Randy enjoys adventure trekking, hiking, snow skiing, and relaxing in the backyard with his family.
Born in Lodi, the eldest child of Char and Randy, Marissa graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. During her college summers, she spent time working in Dr. Ann Noble’s Enology and Sensory Laboratory at the University of California, Davis.
After graduating, Marissa worked six years in sales and marketing for Robert Mondavi Corporation, Martignetti Companies of Rhode Island, and Fosters' Wine Estates.
Today, she takes a lead winery operations and supports wine sales. She enjoys riding horses, sailing, snow skiing, and traveling throughout the world with her husband Matthew, son Lincoln, and daughter Jane.
Born in Lodi, Joe, the youngest son of Randy and Char, is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a double major in Agriculture Business and Wine and Viticulture. In early 2007, Joe came on as our Webmaster and Wine Club Manager, along with helping the team in Consumer Direct Marketing.
Joe studied Practical Viticulture and Wine Sciences at the University of Adelaide, Australia and improved his Spanish through travel in a variety of countries.
One of Joe's favorite hobbies is cooking with his wife, Amanda. He also enjoys traveling, mountain biking, snow skiing, martial arts, and discovering new wines.
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Susan moved with her family to Lodi during her middle-school years. She graduated from Fresno State University in Special Education and Communicative Disorders, and worked for the Lodi Unified School District as a Speech, Language, and Hearing Specialist for 17 years. As LangeTwins continued to grow, she joined the company and assumed the responsibilities of Office and Human Resource Manager.
Away from the office, she enjoys entertaining, cooking, gardening, water and snow-skiing and traveling.
Born in Lodi, Kendra, daughter of Brad and Susan, graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. During her college summers, she spent time at LangeTwins taking brix tests and assisting in human resources and accounting.
After graduating, she settled in Napa and accepted an internship at Fosters' Wine Estates which developed into a full-time position as a member of their brand marketing team. During her time at Fosters, she developed analytical and creative skills and recently began applying those skills at LangeTwins in her current role in brand marketing and sales strategies.
When away from work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, and hiking, as well as entertaining.
Moving to the Napa Valley in 1995, Alfonso pursued a career in the wine industry with Beringer Winery as a Winery Specialist and Cellar Team Leader. As Alfonso gained experience, his talents were recognized and he went on to become Cellar Master for several premium Napa wineries. His responsibilities within the cellar, from blend preparation to basic lab analysis, sparked an interest in winemaking and enology and this passion led him outside the winery and into the classroom where he is currently studying enology at Napa Valley College.
With enthusiasm, ambition and dedication, Alfonso is a vital member of our winemaking team.
Alfonso spends his free time fishing and DXing with his ham radio.
Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Char spent time in Lodi during her youth and upon graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Agriculture, returned to Lodi where she took the post of Community Center Director at Hutchins Street Square. During her 26 year tenure, she created and executed a master plan for the development of a state-of-the-art community center and crafted a multi-million dollar fundraising campaign.
She is active in the community and is involved in the California Winegrape Foundation, the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation, the City of Lodi Joint committee on Adult Day Health Care, and the Hutchins Street Square Foundation.
Today, Char supports the family operation in Marketing and Public Relations. Away from work, you will find her riding horses, traveling, snow-skiing and hiking with the family.
Born and raised in Lodi, Aaron, the eldest son of Char and Randy, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Viticulture and Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. While in college, he worked in Dr. Andrew Walker’s Viticulture Lab assisting in viticultural trials focused on Pierce’s Disease. Aaron also spent six months in the Maipo Valley of Chile learning about winemaking and honing his Spanish language skills.
During summers, Aaron was the jack-of-all-trades at LangeTwins which now applies to his everyday responsibilities of managing labor, developing information systems, organizing harvest crews and machinery, and using his Spanish to better communicate with our employees.
Born in Lodi, Brad is the co-founder of LangeTwins with his twin brother, Randy. After graduating from University of California, Berkeley in business, he returned to Lodi. He is the financial director of our vineyard and wine company, establishes and maintains relationships with clients and wineries, oversees our vineyard operations and manages new developments.
Knowing the importance of agriculture, Brad is actively involved in the Lodi Winegrape Commission, California State Pierce’s Disease/Glassy Winged Sharpshooter Commission, San Joaquin Farm Bureau, along with other state and local groups. His passion for the environment shows through in his efforts of restoring our natural habitat and serving on committees such as the San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Committee and Lower Mokelumne River Watershed Stewardship Committee.
When taking time away from the business, he travels with family and friends, hikes, water and snow-skis, along with keeping current on his wine cellar.
Born in Lodi, Philip is the eldest child of Brad and Susan. He was educated at Fresno State University and University of California, Davis with an emphasis in Agricultural Mechanics and Viticulture. He recognized his talent and passion for agriculture while spending summers gaining hands-on experience in the cultural and mechanical areas of the business.
Today, he manages cultural operations and its labor force, and is responsible for pesticide management, and equipment innovation, development and maintenance.
Outside the field and office, he spends time water and snow skiing, golfing, hiking, wine tasting, and traveling to foreign countries.
David, a second generation winemaker who graduated from University of California, Davis, is a 25 year veteran winemaker from Robert Mondavi. As Director of Winemaking at Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, he led a team of enologists in creating and evolving their wine style to improve the quality of Woodbridge wines. He helped pioneer winegrower lot processing for direct wine quality feedback, supported barrel aging of premium wines for enhanced quality, and drove stylistic winemaking for hundreds of different wines. His winemaking philosophy stems directly from Robert Mondavi himself, driving continuous improvements while nurturing a respect for both grape and wine.
Today, his belief in true varietal expression and wine’s natural marriage with food makes him a pivotal member of the LangeTwins team. In addition to making our wine, David is also a restaurateur – School Street Bistro located in Lodi, California.
Along with his wife Trisha, David enjoys his Downtown Lodi restaurant, School Street Bistro, collecting vintage posters, golfing, and snow-skiing.
Born in Lodi, Kelly spent his college summers working for Brad and Randy’s father. He joined LangeTwins after graduating from Fresno State University with a degree in Plant Science and an emphasis on viticulture. He has been working for LangeTwins for 30 years managing the vineyard management business alongside Brad and Randy.
As a vital member to our team, he continues to bring updated information from his on-going education and involvement in local winegrowing organizations. Currently, Kelly is an officer on the Lodi District Grape Growers Association Board. We consider Kelly family, have partnered with him in several vineyard development projects, and count on his accomplishments and dedication to continue to enhance future growth.
Away from work, Kelly enjoys snow skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
